There are many ADT Authorized dealers out there, why go with Zions Security Alarms?
I recently received an email from a potential client that said that most companies are offering $99 installation and $35/mo for service, why are you different? I replied with the following.
From the surface it looks like all are the same, but here are 4 things to look at more closely when selecting a security company.
1. What brand of equipment are they giving you? Honeywell is the brand that ADT corporate and most alarm companies use. It is the best and the only equipment I would install in my own home. You should also only accept bids using Honeywell equipment. Otherwise you may have service issues, fewer options to change monitoring companies down the road, fewer options to expand the system, etc…
2. How much equipment are they giving you? Some companies have gimmicks like rebates and gift cards. They are a huge hassle and usually negatively affect their business with complaints since they are not easy to receive and when you do receive one they have limited use only at certain locations, etc.. What we like to do is just give you more equipment for free giving you the better value since you will not have to jump through any hoops after the install.
3. What is their BBB rating and are they licensed? We have an A+ rating and not very many do. We also are licensed with Utah and California.
4. Talk to an owner. Most companies have a sales person that will tell you anything you want to hear in order to get your business. Will they be around if you have a question in a few months or a year? Probably not. Since I own this company, Zions Security Alarms, and have been doing this for over 12 years, I will be around in the future. If you have a question or need something you will have a person that owns an alarm company that you can email or call. Most sales people will be long gone and you are left to be a stranger calling toll free numbers talking to people that do not know you or understand your issue.
After receiving this information they were very grateful that someone took the time to explain some of the details that are not easy to see when looking for an ADT Authorized Dealer.
