San Diego Zoo

The San Diego Zoo is a classic attraction for family adventures. Over 4,000 animals reside at the zoo and inhabit over 100 acres of land. Children can get up close and personal with some of the animals such as sheep or pygmy goats in the petting zoo. With the purchase of a backstage pass little ones can even meet some of the zoo animal stars. And of course the zoo is in a family safe environment to keep you and your loved ones safe during the fun.

USS Midway Museum

The USS Midway Museum just might be the safest place you can take your family in San Diego this summer. Okay, maybe not the safest, but being surrounded by real military planes and equipment will definitely make you feel safe. The museum is a great way to expose your family to a piece of our country’s history. Visitors can take a ride aboard the Strike Fighter 360 during a mock aerial combat. Children ages 6-12 can get in for $8 and general admission is $18 for adults.

Legoland

Legoland is located just 35 minutes from San Diego, and it’s worth the drive. This is not your typical theme park. Legoland houses more than 60 rides and a variety of LEGO-themed attractions. Including a display of some of the nations most famous cities all made out of LEGO bricks. If your family encompasses a variety of ages this is the vacation for you. There are different rides and attractions aimed at young and old.

San Diego Zoo Safari Park

The safari park offers a different experience than the San Diego Zoo. With safari walking trails the park will bring you up close and personal with animals such as giraffes, rhinos, antelope and other african safari animals. Children will also have the opportunity to feed animals like the lorikeet, brush boer and even a giraffe.
